Nueva EPS
Nueva Empresa Promotora de Salud S.A. (Nueva EPS) is a health insurer (EPS) based in Bogotá, with members in both the subsidized and contributory regimes. It is the largest EPS in Colombia by membership and operates in every department.
Clinics work with Nueva EPS to check member eligibility, request authorizations, upload RIPS files and submit invoices.

Providers use its Zona Transaccional portal for authorizations and eligibility checks, plus separate portals to upload RIPS files and submit invoices.

Medifolios
Medifolios is a Colombian, fully cloud-based electronic health record and practice management platform from Medifolios SAS. It serves private practices, clinics and IPS (healthcare provider institutions), from 1–5 user practices to multi-site providers. It includes specialty-configurable clinical records, scheduling, admissions, electronic invoicing, RIPS (Colombia's standardized service-record files), claim-denial management (glosas), telemedicine, lab, imaging and inpatient modules.
An IPS or private practice keeps its patients' clinical records, scheduling, electronic invoicing and RIPS files in Medifolios.

Do I need to change Medifolios to serve Nueva EPS members?
No. Medifolios remains your system: Arbol books on it for Nueva EPS members and all your patients.
Do Nueva EPS or Medifolios endorse Arbol?
No. Nueva EPS and Medifolios are trademarks of their owners and do not sponsor or endorse Arbol. Arbol works on your organization's side, with the accounts and processes you already have with each.
What happens to patient data?
They are health data, sensitive under Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012: processed for a stated purpose, with the patient's authorization and with encryption and isolation per organization. Every conversation is recorded and exportable.
