EPS Sanitas
Entidad Promotora de Salud Sanitas S.A.S. (EPS Sanitas) is a health insurer (EPS) founded in 1994, after Colombia's social security reform. It has members in both the contributory and subsidized regimes and is the country's second-largest EPS by membership.
Clinics use the EPS Sanitas provider portal for hospital referrals and online office requests, and bill it for the care they give its members.

Providers log in to its "Prestadores e Instituciones" portal, which includes an online office and hospital referrals.

gMedic
gMedic is a cloud-based electronic health record platform for independent practitioners and IPS (healthcare provider institutions), made by Kloud Solutions SAS in Bogotá. It includes scheduling with reminders, clinical records with ICD-10 and ICD-11 diagnoses, informed consent forms, RIPS files in JSON (Colombia's standardized service records), electronic invoicing, teleconsultation and inventory. It supports specialties such as pediatrics, gynecology, psychology, physical therapy and occupational health.
A private practice or IPS records clinical notes in gMedic, books appointments and generates the electronic invoice and RIPS files for each visit.

Its integration API (patients, appointments, schedule availability and clinical records) is an add-on module for customers and has supported webhooks since its August 27, 2026 update.

Do I need to change gMedic to serve EPS Sanitas members?
No. gMedic remains your system: Arbol books on it for EPS Sanitas members and all your patients.
Do EPS Sanitas or gMedic endorse Arbol?
No. EPS Sanitas and gMedic are trademarks of their owners and do not sponsor or endorse Arbol. Arbol works on your organization's side, with the accounts and processes you already have with each.
What happens to patient data?
They are health data, sensitive under Colombia's Law 1581 of 2012: processed for a stated purpose, with the patient's authorization and with encryption and isolation per organization. Every conversation is recorded and exportable.
