Proyecto Crónico: Twelve months. Check-ups don't book themselves.
Arbol finds every patient with high blood pressure, diabetes or kidney risk in the data you already have, and books their check-ups and lab tests all year long.
It calls them and messages them on WhatsApp in your institution's name, books into the calendar you already use and keeps a record of every conversation. No system changes.
Or scroll at your own pace: the film moves with you.
Month 0. Marta leaves the clinic with a prescription and a task.
She's 61 and has diabetes. “See you in three months,” her doctor said. But nobody booked that visit: asking for it is up to her.
Month 1. She feels fine.
Diabetes and high blood pressure rarely hurt. So the check-up waits for later. And later. And later.
Month 3. She calls twice. Busy.
She calls on her work break, but nobody at the clinic gets to the phone. And since there was never an appointment, it doesn't even count as a no-show.
Clínica NorteCalling…Line busy14 calls waiting at reception.
ExampleMonth 4. Her test comes back high. Nobody sees it.
She got the test on her own. The result lands in your system and stays there, among hundreds of others. A result on its own calls no one.

ExampleMonth 6. The schedule is full, just not with the people who need it most.
Slots go to whoever calls first. Someone is coming in for the sixth time this year, just in case. Marta hasn't come once.

ExampleSeven months without a check-up. Eight. Nine. Ten.
Nobody has come looking for her. To the program, Marta is one more row in a file.
Month 11. Marta comes back to the clinic. Through the emergency room.
What isn't controlled in time comes back worse and more expensive. For her, and for your institution.
In the Americas, only one in three people with high blood pressure has it under control.

Let's rewind.
Same year, same Marta, same clinic. This time, with Arbol.
Month 0. Arbol finds Marta in the data you already have.
It reads the medical records, the lab results and the schedule where they already live, without migrating anything. And it knows who is due for what, and when.
Diabetes program 1,240 people
- Marta R.Check-up due in month 3 · lab test pending
- Jorge A.Up to date · next check-up in month 5
- Elena V.Check-up overdue by 4 months
- Hugo P.Lab result out of range · no check-up
Month 3. Tuesday, 9:14. Arbol calls her.
The call is recorded and transcribed. These subtitles are its transcript.
- MónicaGood morning, Marta. This is Mónica, the virtual assistant at Clínica Norte. You're due for your diabetes check-up.
- MartaOh, I'm at work. Could you text me instead?
- MónicaOf course. I'll write to you on WhatsApp.
That evening, she picks the time.
The appointment goes straight into the schedule your institution already uses, with the lab test before the check-up.
Clínica Norte WhatsApp
- Hi Marta. For your check-up with Dr. Ríos I have Saturday at 8:00 a.m. or Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Which works for you?
- Saturday, please.
- Done: Saturday at 8:00 a.m. Your lab test comes first. I'll send you the instructions and a reminder on Friday.
Booked in the clinic's schedule
ExampleMonth 4. Booking isn't enough: Arbol checks that the check-up actually happened.
It confirms in the medical record that the check-up and the lab test were logged. If anything is missing, it books it again.
- Diabetes check-upSaturday, 8:00 a.m.
- HbA1c lab testIn the medical record
- Next check-upMonth 6, already booked
Month 6. Marta has to travel. She moves her appointment with one message.
She writes on the website chat and her check-up moves to Thursday. The slot she frees up is offered to the next person on the list.
Website chat 8:41 p.m.
- Marta R.Moved from Saturday
- Luisa P.Took the freed slot
Month 9. Marta asks about feeling dizzy.
Arbol gives no health advice, and that limit can't be switched off. It alerts your nursing team, and they call her.
For nursing 10:02 a.m.
Marta R. asked about feeling dizzy. Arbol doesn't answer health questions: it hands the case to your team.
Nursing called her at 10:20 a.m.
ExampleMonth 12. Four check-ups, two lab tests. She didn't have to ask for any of them.
And every call, every message and every appointment is in her record.

Check-up Lab test
ExampleAnd it's not just Marta.
Your program has hundreds of people overdue for a check-up. Arbol calls and writes to every one of them, at the time each one answers, and books their check-up.
Of 487 people overdue for a check-up, Arbol has already reached 412, and 318 have their appointment.
Example: a program of 3,214 peopleArbol reads every silence.
Not answering isn't the same as not wanting to. Every silence gets its own response.
- Answers and books: the appointment lands in your schedule.
- Wrong number: it's flagged and your team knows.
- No answer at that hour: it tries another channel, at another time.
- Not right now: it's recorded and nobody insists.
- Up to date with check-ups: nobody bothers them.
Everything is on record.
Who said what, on which channel, at what time and how it ended. With recordings and transcripts, for your team and for any audit.

Questions from the audience
Do I have to change my medical records or my scheduling system?
No. Arbol works on top of the medical records, lab results and schedule you already use, where they already are. No data migration, no system change.
Does Arbol give patients medical advice?
Never. If a patient asks a health question, Arbol alerts your team so a professional can take it. That limit can't be switched off.
Which program should we start with?
One: high blood pressure, diabetes or kidney risk. You tune it with your team, measure the full cycle (found, contacted, booked, seen), then add the others.
Which channels does it use to reach patients?
Phone, WhatsApp, SMS, email and web chat, in your institution's name and with the name you choose for your assistant. If someone doesn't answer on one channel, Arbol tries another.
How much does it cost?
It depends on the size of your program and the channels you use. Contact is billed by the minute, and the terms are set out in writing in the proposal.
